We may be a good fit for therapy if you are a deeply sensitive person. You feel emotions more intensely than others. Fears and worries tend to take over. Clinically, this tends to show up as anxiety with or without a mood disorder. You may also have neurodevelopmental differences that affect how you think, learn, and interact with the world.
I specialize in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)-informed cognitive behavioral therapy. This treatment approach is ideal for emotionally sensitive youth and adults who are not experiencing any safety-interfering behaviors and want to apply DBT to improve their day-to-day life. I am a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician™.
I also offer comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT). Similar to DBT, CBIT is a special kind of cognitive behavioral therapy. CBIT is specifically for youth and adults with Tic and Tourette's Disorders. I am a Tourette Syndrome - Behavior Therapy Institute (TS-BTI) Certified Provider.
I believe that psychotherapy involves a real, authentic connection that helps patients feel understood, respected, and supported in their own unique goals, values, and identities. I am committed to providing a safe, anti-oppressive space where clients can show up as their truest selves. This kind of connection is what allows treatment interventions to work.
I currently offer telehealth visits only. My services are completely out of network. I have a wonderful billing manager who can help verify and maximize any out of network benefits for clients who have them. I welcome your questions and I look forward to connecting with you.
